California Residents: Have you noticed SC Edison’s Rate Hikes? I’m sure your bank account has!

Homeowners in California are already complaining about high utility costs, but these problems are just getting worse with the recently announced rate hikes that were approved earlier this year. The rate increases started in January and they slowly raised the rates each month until April of 2019.

In December, the rates were $0.16 for tier 1, $0.25 for tier 2 and $0.31 for tier 3.

SC Edison currently charges you $0.18 for tier 1, $0.25 for tier 2 and $0.35 for tier 3.

This means that for any customer that reaches tier 2, they increased your monthly cost by roughly $9.00 in tier 1.  Tier 2 stayed the same.  If you were in tier 3, you saw the biggest increase of all.  These rate increases happen every year and there is little to nothing you can do about it!
